The Hip Bone Is Connected To The . . .

Tail is straight, not to exceed four (4) inches, natural bobtail or docked. At birth it may be anywhere from no tail, 1/4 tail, 1/2 tail, 3/4 tails, and full tail, indicated by a white tip on dogs with white. Because tails are not bred for, they may be kinked before docking.

In countries where the tail cannot be docked, it is important to choose a tail set that is moderately set (not flag-tailed high, nor set so low as to impede movement), and should have a slight bend in it, allowing for maximum agility.
