Terms of contract:   

~ All shipping charges are the responsibility of the owner of the bitch to be bred.

~ If food is not provided by the owner of the bitch, a boarding fee of $_____ per day will be charged.

~ The stud fee is due and payable once the bitch is determined to be pregnant, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. All stud fees are non-refundable.

~ Owner of bitch certifies that bitch is current on all vaccinations and brucellosis tested.

~ Owner of stud also agrees to a guarantee of actual mating (tie) is made, as well as pregnancy, and at least two live pups. If the bitch whelps two or less puppies, or if the bitch fails to be in whelp (pregnant), the owner must notify the stud owner by the 50th day after the date of mating, or within 24 hours after whelping.

~ Any free return service (as noted above) will be given only to the bitch noted in this contract. Should said bitch die or become unable to conceive or carry a litter, the owner of the stud is no longer obligated to offer a free return service. The offer of a free return service is only good for one (1) year from the whelping dat of the litter of less than ____ pups. The guarantee of ____ live pups is considered fulfilled when the bitch whelps a total of ____ pups from the original breeding and the free return service(s).

~ If a pick of litter pup is to be given in lieu of a cash fee, said pup will be chosen at 7 weeks of age. The owner of the bitch guarantees that said pup will be free of disqualifying faults as written in the breed standard, and that said pup will be free of hip dysplasia and hereditary eye defects. Owner of bitch agrees to provide a replacement pup should said pup develop one of these problems. If fewer than ___ pups survive (as noted above), the owner of the stud may choose the option to take pick of litter from the free return service rather than from the first service. No pups are to be sold until the owner of the stud has seen the litter(either in person or by photos) and has made the pick of the litter choice.

~ Owner of the stud hereby retains culling rights of the litter produced by this stud service. Owner of bitch hereby agrees that any excessively white-marked pups (IE. White ears, white face, white over eyes, white body splashes, white stifles that carry into body color) that are not killed, will be sold as pets and are no to be sold to show homes unless the owner of the stud agrees that such a sale may be made. Pet dogs will be registered as not-for-breeding

~ Should said stud die or become unable to sire a litter, the owner of the stud retains the right to grant a free return service (as noted above) to another of his/her studs.

~ Owner of the bitch hereby agrees to furnish owner of the stud with color photos of all surviving pups in the litter. Owner of the stud is not obligated to sign the litter registration form until said photos are received and unless the stud fee and any other expenses are paid in full.

~ Owner of the bitch hereby agrees to furnish the owner of the stud with a color photo of said bitch, complete pedigree, copies of hip and eye certifications and/or a letter from a qualified veterinarian stating that said bitch has been tested and found to be free of brucellosis.

~ Owner of bitch hereby agrees that owner of stud will not be held liable for any sickness, accident, injury, or death of said bitch while under the care of the owner of the stud.

~ If the bitch changes ownership while in whelp, all terms of this contract remain in force, and this contract is to be given to, and explained to the new owners.

~ During the bitch's heat, she will remain in the stud dog's care, and after she returns to her home, stud dog owner will be granted the right to see and examine her while she is in whelp.

~ Stud dog owner is under no obligation to sign application for registration until all living puppies have had their eyes examined by a veterinary opthamologist, at between six to eight weeks of age.

~The owner of the bitch agrees to keep a descriptive record of all whelped puppies, live or dead. This will include time of birth (approx) color, sex, length of tail (natural bob, 3/4 or full) and descriptive traits. Owner of the bitch will also keep a record of all buyers of the puppies and give a copy of both to stud dog owner.

~ The owner of the bitch agrees to have the tails docked (if not a natural bob) and, at least, the rear dew claws (if present) removed from all pups (unless a pup's weight, etc, makes it not safe to do so at that time) before the age of four (4) days of age.
