I am very excited as our Daniel x Famy litter is arriving at the moment. This is our second and last litter with our red rocket Famy (Moving Spirit Buzzing Fairytale GGB GS-O JS-E RS-N DNA-CP) and we think we found a very special partner that will complement Famy very well in the versatile Daniel (SVCH WTCH CH. Wildvine's Bad n' Blue CD RN PT HSAs HIAs JHDg GS-E-OP JS-E-OP RS-E MXJ AX DNA-VP).

Famy's temperature dropped from Saturday onto Sunday and Sunday evening she started to get restless and digging. She is taking her time as the first pup was born this afternoon and we are at number 4 now, but she isn't finished yet. There was more than 3 hours between the first and second pup and we all got a bit restless, but she is still managing well and is a great mom.
Famy's coowner Karin wants to keep a male, so she was hoping for several males to choose from and so far, she got 4 males. She is very pleased. We have two red boys, one possibly bi, the other tri, one very flashy red merle boy and a black (tri?) boy.

Great news! Good luck with the birthing. I have met Daniel several times- nice dog.

It is not an easy delivery this time. As her first litter was smooth and quite quick, except for one stillborn pup, I hadn't really expected this, but this litter is much harder for Famy. There is lots of time in between the pups (3 hours and 20 minutes between pup 1 and 2!) and lots of time from the first real contraction until the birth of a pup (1 hour and 15 minutes for pup 2!).

But she is still going strong and just delivered the first girl of the bunch! A very nice black bi female with a small blaze that will likely dissapear in the following weeks.

Poor girl- I hope everyone is ok.

Excellent! Give mama dog a pat on the head for a job well done. So, how many pups in all?

Five pups in total and one stillborn. The five pups are a red bi male, red tri male, red merle male, black tri male and a black bi female. The stillborn was a blue merle, looking exactely like Daniel. Isn't it horrible to see such a perfect little animal that for some unknown reason just doesn't live?
But the other five are doing great. We were hoping for several males to chose from as Famy's coowner Karin wants to keep a male and I guess she got exactely what she asked for!
